Devotional
Resurrection hope often begins in the dark, not after everything feels better. Mary was still grieving when Jesus came near. She did not recognize Him at first. That matters, because it means you can be sincere, faithful, and still confused. You can love Jesus and still feel lost. Darkness can blur your vision.
Many women think they have to feel strong to experience God. But Mary shows you another way. Jesus meets you while you are still crying. He stands near before you understand. He is present before you feel peace.
If you are in a dark season, you may feel numb or easily overwhelmed. Your brain may be trying to protect you by shutting down emotions or staying on high alert. That is not failure. That is pain. And Jesus does not despise you for it.
Today, do not pressure yourself to recognize every good thing God is doing. Simply believe this. Jesus is closer than you think.
Prayer
Jesus, meet me in the dark.
When grief and exhaustion blur my vision, help me know You are near.
Hold my heart gently and calm my anxious thoughts.
Even if I cannot recognize what You are doing yet, help me trust Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Devotional
Grief can feel messy. One moment you are okay, the next moment you are crying in the car, in the shower, or in the middle of a normal day. Many women feel embarrassed by their tears, or guilty when grief lasts longer than expected.
But Scripture shows you God’s tenderness. He counts your tears. He keeps record. That means your pain is not invisible. Your tears are not wasted. They are seen, honored, and held.
This verse also speaks to resilience. Resilience is not pretending you are fine. Resilience is being honest with God and continuing to show up. Grief does not make you weak. It reveals that you loved. And God meets love with compassion.
Today, give yourself permission to grieve without shame. Let your tears be prayer.
Prayer
Father, thank You that You see every tear.
I bring You my grief, my sadness, and my weariness.
Comfort me in the places that still hurt.
Help me grieve with honesty and hope, knowing I am held by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Devotional
Darkness often comes with an inner voice that says, nothing will change. You may feel heavy, discouraged, or emotionally flat. Psalm 42 gives you a faithful way to respond. It speaks to the soul, not with harshness, but with truth. “Hope thou in God.”
This is a powerful resilience practice. When your emotions are low, you can still choose what you will believe. Not by denying pain, but by guiding your soul back to God.
For women with anxiety, hopelessness can also be exhaustion. When you have carried too much for too long, hope can feel risky. But resurrection hope is not fragile optimism. It is trust in a living Savior.
Today, practice gentle self talk rooted in Scripture. You are not forcing yourself to feel better. You are reminding your soul where to look.
Prayer
Lord, my soul feels cast down and disquieted.
Teach me to hope in You again.
When hopeless thoughts rise, steady me with truth.
Help me take one small step toward You today, even if my emotions feel weak. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
